    1. So I have a story to share, and sorry I deleted the original post… I made to many errors:

One day after class a girl... we shall call her Liz, was waiting to talk with her teacher. A boy in the same class... we will call him Jim, was also waiting to talk to the teacher. While they were waiting they started talking to each other - at first just about the class followed by a small topic change to school in general, then taking an interesting turn with Jim asking Liz if she had heard of an improve group based in a city nearby. Liz replies that she doesn't know about the group. Jim seems quite shocked that Liz knows nothing about the group. He then says, "Okay I am now switching in to my player mode." Liz is very confused with this statement and is sure she heard him wrong. But no in fact Jim had switched into him "player mode."

*Pause* I feel I should add that Liz is 24 and Jim at this time was 17. Oh and Liz is married.

*Un-Pause* Jim then attempts to explain what the improve group does, where they perform, and when they perform. Liz starts to get even more confused thinking to herself, "is he going to ask me to go to one of these performances with him... does he know that I am at least 6 years older than he is? He obviously doesn't know I am married." If fact the very next thing that came out of Jim's mouth was, "do you think you would be interested in going to one of their performances?" Liz confusion could now be plainly seen in her face. Jim tries to fix the situation by then saying, "We wouldn't have to ride together or anything, we could just me there." Liz begins to feel bad; she isn't interesting in going 1. Because she is married 2. Because he is quite a bit younger and 3. Because he is going about this all wrong... but she doesn't want to hurt his feelings, because it had to have taken a lot of guts to ask her. It isn't his fault that she looks 18 herself and how would he know that she was 24 and married. Liz explains that it being her last semester of school that she is very busy and isn't sure that she has the time. Leaving out that she is married and 24, she didn't want to embarrass him. Then attempting to give him a boost says, "But you can email some information about upcoming performances." They say their good byes and as they part in separate directions she begins think that she handled that situation all wrong.

      The end.

If you went and talked to Liz now about this situation, she will begin to laugh because the thing she remembers the most is the "Okay I am now switching in to my player mode." statement by Jim. She feels that she would have been able to handle the situation better if that comment had not have been made, it completely through her off and defiantly showed his age, lack of experience, and yes his awkwardness.
